Bogdan Iancu is an anthropologist, university lecturer, and coordinator of the master’s programs in Anthropology and Visual Studies and Society at the Department of Sociology of SNSPA Bucharest.
He holds a PhD in anthropology and ethnology from the Università degli Studi di Perugia in Italy. Iancu teaches courses on ethnographic practice, visual anthropology, and material culture.
His research focuses on the housing aspirations and domestic material culture of the middle class in Bucharest and beyond, as well as on the post-socialist urban transformations and reconfigurations, and the visual and sensory representations of domestic space.
